At Human Right Pathfinders Association of Nigeria (HURPA Nigeria),
we stand firmly for the dignity, safety, and equality of every worker — from factories and farms to offices and construction sites.
Every individual deserves fair pay, humane working conditions, and respect in the workplace.
We believe that decent work is a fundamental human right. That’s why HURPA is committed to protecting labor rights,
supporting trade unions, and holding employers and corporations accountable for exploitation, forced labor, and unsafe practices.
Our workers’ rights initiatives focus on ensuring fair treatment, equality, and safety for all employees —
especially vulnerable groups such as women, domestic workers, and informal sector laborers.
Our Focus Areas
- Fair Wages: Advocating for living wages, equal pay for equal work, and protection against wage theft or exploitation.
- Safe Working Conditions: Promoting health and safety standards to prevent workplace hazards, accidents, and abuse.
- Freedom of Association: Supporting the right of workers to organize, form unions, and engage in collective bargaining.
- Non-Discrimination: Fighting against gender bias, harassment, and unequal treatment in hiring or promotion.
- Protection for Informal Workers: Empowering self-employed and casual laborers who often lack legal and social protection.
- Corporate Accountability: Monitoring industries for labor abuses and pushing for transparent, fair business practices.
